There have been many assistant golf professionals move on from Hurstbourne CC to better their position and career within the golf industry. We take great pride in mentoring aspiring professionals that want to improve and be a major part of a successful operation and team. The support of the golf professional team from our membership and Board of Directors is second to none which makes working at Hurstbourne CC a fun and rewarding experience while providing a healthy work-life balance.

Danny Baron is the PGA Director of Golf and is joined by Blake Watts who is the PGA Head Golf Professional. The rest of the management team includes a Retail Manager, three Assistant Golf Professionals and a full-time Golf Shop Associate.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as an assistant golf professional and help us continue to raise the bar throughout our golf operation. We have a robust junior golf program which includes over 125 kids participating in a variety of different programs from the introductory levels up to the competitive PGA Junior league. Our membership is always seeking improvement in their games and the demand for golf lessons will always be there for anyone interested in building a lesson clientele. Our retail operation is very successful, and our members provide great support to the merchandise shop and club sales.

Hurstbourne CC is the proud host of the PGA Tour's ISCO Championship. We experienced an amazing first year and are planning for an even better event in 2026!

Essential Responsibilities

The responsibility of the golf professional team is to ensure consistent high-level member golf experiences on a daily basis which is all-encompassing of the whole staff. We identify strengths of each team member and assign key responsibilities based on the team make-up. The goal is for everyone to be involved with all facets of the operation but also have key responsibilities and areas of focus to ensure empowerment and ownership of tasks.
